Driver charged after crash
Brunswick police summonsed a West Bath man Friday night for driving to endanger and operating after habitual offender revocation following an incident in which his pickup allegedly struck another man’s car.
Police were alerted just before 8:30 p.m. Friday that a vehicle was operating “in an erratic, reckless manner” on Route 196, Brunswick Police Sgt. Russ Wrede said Monday.
Not long after, a 1991 GMC pickup truck driven by 44- year-old Eric Farnham of 15 Mountain Road in West Bath allegedly rear-ended a 2005 Ford driven by William Munsey, 42, of Topsham on the Route 196 on-ramp to Route 1.
Farnham was taken to Mid Coast Hospital following the collision. His condition was not available at press time.
Police summonsed him for driving to endanger and operating after habitual offender revocation, Deputy Chief Marc Hagan of the Brunswick Police Department said Tuesday. He is scheduled to appear in West Bath District Court on Feb. 21.
