Funeral home hosts Memory Celebration

BATH — Daigle Funeral Home will host its annual Holiday Memory Celebration and Tree Lighting at 6 p.m. Saturday at 819 High St.

“ Come early and bring a picture to make an ornament for the tree,” a Daigle Funeral Home release states.

Refreshments will be served.

Demonstration, vigil planned for Saturday

BRUNSWICK — Supporters of the Occupy Wall Street movement plan to gather in Brunswick and Bath on Saturday.

Organizers of the Brunswick event urge supporters to gather at 10: 30 a. m. on the Mall. From there, participants will walk to the Bank of America branch on Maine Street for an hour-long demonstration.

In Bath, people are invited to an Advent Vigil for Disarmament at Bath Iron Works from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., across from the administration building on Washington Street.

Auto shop takes part in holiday toy drive

BRUNSWICK — Grease Lightning Lube and Repair Center, 158 Pleasant St., will participate in the company’s annual Toys and Tune-ups toy drive from Dec. 1 through Dec. 19.

Customers and others in the community can drop off new, unwrapped toys at the business. All donations will go to Toys For Tots.

Those who donate will receive 25 percent off any oil change and 10 percent off all other auto maintenance or repair services. Those people not needing immediate service will receive a voucher for that discount to redeem later.
