PHOTO BY BARBARA THOMPSON LISBON — Katie Scroggins, a fourth-grader at Lisbon Community School, has been notified that her artwork will represent the state of Maine on the new website for the New England Geographic Education Network.

The NEGEN advocates and supports shared expertise in content knowledge and organizational resources in order to achieve a broader regional impact in geography education.

They recently hosted a poster contest in which students were asked to address the theme, “Our New England Community.”

Scroggins designed and completed her poster as a class assignment.
