A broken system
To the editor:
Two percent of the registered Republicans in the state voted in the recent caucuses. Is that an accurate representation of the party?
Obviously, this system is broken and does need fixing. I received no notice of any meetings in the Brunswick area, nor did I see any notice or news stories in The Times Record as to where these caucuses were being held in this area.
A primary election would likely turn out more than 2 percent of the voters.
And a good way to stir the political pot would be to schedule the vote a week before New Hampshire.
