Teen Library Council readies ‘Haunted Patten 2017: Double Trouble’

BATH — On Saturday, Oct. 21, the Teen Library Council of Patten Free Library is offering a double feature Halloween event that includes a haunted hotel tour and laser tag. Reservations are required for both events. Reservation request forms can be downloaded and printed from tpatten.lib.me.us or filled out on-line; the forms will be available beginning Tuesday, Oct. 10.

The event is recommended for those in grade 6 and up.

Event number one is the “Horror Hotel,” a brief but scary guided tour of the library tower and basement. The tours, which will be led by Library Director Lesley Dolinger, Clay Hawks, and Johnna Stanton will begin at 6:15 p.m.; the last tour will be at 9:00 p.m. Tour times (scheduled at 10-minute intervals) can be reserved by individuals or groups of up to six people.

Event number two is laser tag, back by popular demand after a sell-out evening event last spring. The laser tag equipment and instruction will be provided by Gorilla Tactics, thanks to Roland Lacombe of Monkey C Monkey Do in Wiscasset. Twenty people can play at one time. Sessions will begin at 6:00 p.m.

Requested admission donation for a single event is $5; cost for both is $7.

The Council has enlisted the assistance of more than 15 Morse High School students as well as library staff to help stage the event. Net proceeds will be donated to the Teen Space Redesign and Relocation Project. For more information on the new Teen Space, go to patten. lib.me.us/teen-space-reference project/.

For more information about either event, or for assistance with reservations, call the Reference Desk at the library (207) 443- 5141, ext. 12.
