Rams get by Eagles

BRUNSWICK — Riley Boiven broke a 1-1 tie early in the third period as Cony/Monmouth/ Hall-Dale downed Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse, 6-1, in boys high school hockey action at Sidney J. Watson Arena on Tuesday.

Boiven’s first-period goal gave the Rams a 1-0 lead, but Tyler Halls tied the game for the Eagles in the second period. Cony took control in the third period, with a goal each coming from Connor Perry, Cole Lockhart, Avery Pomerleau and Drew Keithley. Thomas Arps had three assists.

Eagles (1-1) goaltender Cade Charron had 27 saves in the loss, while Rams netminder Tom Small turned away 17 shots.

The Eagles take on Brunswick at Watson Arena on Friday at 7 p.m.
